Peggy is a Louisiana native who grew up helping out at her father’s construction firm, WR Bankston and Associates. She drew her first set of plans at age 16, and received her Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design from LSU in 1978. Peggy worked as a commercial interior designer for Interstate School Supply for 4 years, designing large commercial interiors. She later moved to Yvonne Kelleher Interiors where she designed and specified both commercial and residential interiors. In 1999, after taking a break to raise three children, Peggy started Gammill Construction. Many times over the years in her job as an interior designer, she encountered projects with crucial mistakes in the construction phase. Peggy spent much of her time navigation these mistakes as part of her interior design work. As a contractor she is able to lend her interior design experience to the project from the beginning.
